This year the new payment method will be the rechargeable card by Cashless. It will be a faster and more comfortable tool than Tokens. Here’s more information about it.
· What it is?
The RFID Card by Cashless is a plastic card with an RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) chip in it that acts as your electronic wallet, allowing you to make purchases without the hassle of cash or credit cards.
· How do I get my card?
As you enter in Piknic you will notice signage throughout the site, which will help you locate the two Top-up areas. Here you will receive your Card and load it with credit using either cash or a bankcard. There is a 1€ deposit taken at the first top-up only.
· Can I claim my card deposit back?
Yes, you can.
· How does it work?
Your RFID card is used to pay for food and drinks within the event. After ordering, you simply tap your card against one of the readers located at each bar and vendor. Once the transaction is confirmed, the amount is automatically deducted from your card’s balance. Don’t worry If you run out of credit on your card, you can top-up as many times as you like at either one of the two top-up stations.
You will be able to check the balance of your card whenever you want, at any bar, vendor, top-up station, or at customer service. Simply ask for a balance check, tap your card against one of the readers and instantly know your balance.
· What if I have leftover credit when Piknic ends?
Don’t worry! You will be able to receive a full refund at the refund windows located at the top-up station at any point during the event.
On the other side, If your card is stolen or lost you can get a replacement from customer service. No personal or confidential data is stored on the card, so don’t worry about that. However, you must treat your card as cash. If it is lost, we can’t track it and issue your old balance onto a new card, so please take care not to misplace the card.
· Do I have to pay extra for a replacement card?
If you lose your card and need a replacement, you will have to pay a 1€ deposit again, which you can claim back if you return your card at the refund window when you’re ready to leave.
· I’m still a bit confused!
